Belle Marie Drake, 30, of Urbana, formerly of Beason, died Sunday (July 25, 2004) at 9:30 a.m. at her parents’ home in Beason.
Visitation in Urbana will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Wesley Foundation.
In Lincoln, visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church. Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. Jame Hahs and the Rev. Sara Isbell officiating.
Burial will be in Harmony Cemetery, Beason.
Miss Drake was a member of the class of 2007 at the University of Illinois School of Veterinary Medicine.
She was born July 14, 1974, in Lincoln to Harold Lowell and Nancy Bratton Drake.
She is survived by her parents, of Beason; one brother, Douglas Drake; and her paternal grandparents, David and Merida Drake of Beason.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Curtis Andrew Drake, and by her maternal grandparents, Sam and Mary Margaret Bratton.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lincoln, the Amasong women’s choral group in Champaign-Urbana and was affiliated with the Wesley Foundation in Urbana.
She was a 1992 graduate of Lincoln Community High School. She graduated with honors from the University of Illinois in 1997 with a double major in rhetoric and biology.
